LOBORTIS JUSTO DIGNISSIM
While a successful club will always work as a team and will leave no room for individual challenges, every team out there has its own legendary players that can make the difference on or off the field. Meet the legends at Sestao River below!
JOHN PARK STATESON
John Park Stateson is one of the most prolific football players in the USA. Born in 1990, he began his football career at 6 years old only, as an attacker for the U12 team of Los Angeles FC. He joined Sestao River in 2012.
Over the last years, he became an integrated part of Sestao River. Prior to joining the club, he spent most of his youth years playing for Los Angeles FC, with a few adventures in South America (Boca Juniors) and Germany (Bayer Leverkusen). He has won the Golden Boot award in the USA in the 2011-2012 season, with 47 goals in 33 games – the season prior to joining Sestao River.
Thomas Yates is the living proof that love for particular soccer clubs knows no limits. The winger joined the juniors of Sestao River in 1998, when he was only 12 years old. From that point on, he never left the club.
Thomas Yates was promoted into the main squad in 2004. He was only 18 back then. His first game for the main team brought in his first goal too – it was against Paracao United. Ever since then, he played over 500 games for Sestao River – both official and friendly games. He scored more than 200 goals and served over 150 assists.
Born in Brazil, Mark Nascimento became famous at Sestao River in 1981, after a few insignificant ventures in inferior leagues of Brazil. He spent most of his career as a central back defender, although he was occasionally pushed forward to the middle.
Before retiring from professional football in 2000, he played in 681 games and scores 72 goals. His most notable performance was against Old Eagles United, in 1997, when he scored a hat-trick. Soon after ending his playing career, Mark Nascimento joined the coaching squad of Sestao River. He is currently managing the team and pushing for yet another title.
SPORT STARS’ REVIEWS
The current team assembles the best squad that we have ever had in the last couple of decades. We are on the wave and plan to win the next championships.
We have a good team and an amazing mixture of experienced players and active fresh blood. Things were never better for the club.
I love how old players use their experience to guide and instruct the younger ones. This is definitely what I would call a team. There are no individual characters.
I am pretty sure everyone enjoys the football these guys play today – great manager and a solid team well put together.
